Which Ecovacs should you choose? The guide by profile

The ranking tells you which robot is rated highest. This page tells you which one is best for you — it's almost never the same one.

You have pets

This is the most demanding use case, and the one where specs really matter.

What decides it is raw suction: hair embedded in a thick carpet needs real power, not just a good roller. The T90 Pro Omni delivers 30,000 Pa, the best suction in the Deebot catalog, at a mid-range price.

You have a lot of carpets

Two distinct problems: suctioning into them, and not soaking them.

To suction, you need power: from 18,000 Pa, you already lift embedded dust properly; beyond 25,000 Pa (T90 Pro Omni), the gain becomes clear on thick carpet. To not soak them, the robot needs to lift its mop pad — most Deebot models do this automatically (9 to 15 mm depending on the model).

Our pick: the T90 Pro Omni for suction, or the X12 Pro Omni if mopping matters just as much.

Your floors are mostly hard, and mopping is the priority

Here the logic flips: suction becomes secondary, and the mopping system decides everything.

Classic rotating mop pads (T50, T30, N30, Mini) pick up dirt and spread it back around until they return to the dock. The OZMO ROLLER on the X and T80/T90 series is rinsed with hot water on every cycle — a difference you can see on light-colored tile.

You have a large home

On a large surface, it's no longer power alone that limits you, it's runtime and dock capacity. The X11 Pro Omni claims coverage up to 1,000 sqm per charge (6,400 mAh); the more affordable N30 Pro Omni runs up to 320 minutes.

You live in an apartment

Don't overpay. In a studio or small apartment, you'll never make use of the X11 Pro Omni's 4 cm obstacle crossing, nor the T90 Pro Omni's 30,000 Pa suction.

The Deebot Mini at 229 € covers the essentials: compact footprint (28.6 cm), full dock, dual rotating mop pads. For a larger apartment, the T80 Omni at 489 € adds a real mopping roller.

You have low furniture

This is the ultra-thin format's use case. The T50 Omni (81 mm thick) and its bigger sibling the T50 Pro Omni slide under furniture that's inaccessible to nearly every other robot on the market, Deebot included.

You have high thresholds

This is the only case where TruePass obstacle crossing fully pays off. The X11 Pro Omni and X12 Pro Omni cross thresholds up to 2.4 cm and double steps up to 4 cm — enough to clear transitions that stop models without this system.

The budget question

One last, counter-intuitive but verifiable, landmark: beyond 800 €, each extra euro buys less and less cleanliness. The real jump in quality happens between 400 € and 800 €. Above that, you're paying for comfort features (cyclonic bin, advanced obstacle crossing) that only have value if your home actually calls for them.

Frequently asked questions

Which Ecovacs should you choose if you have a dog or cat?

The T90 Pro Omni (599 €). Its 30,000 Pa is what actually matters with pets: the power lifts hair off the carpet where a less powerful robot leaves it embedded.

Which Ecovacs is best for an apartment?

The Deebot Mini (229 €) is more than enough in a studio or small apartment thanks to its compact footprint (28.6 cm). For a larger apartment, the T80 Omni (489 €) is still reasonable.

Which Ecovacs is best for a large house?

The X12 Pro Omni (799 €), or the X11 Pro Omni if obstacle crossing matters. On large surfaces, runtime and a full dock take priority over raw power alone.

Do you need an Ecovacs with hot-water mopping?

Yes, if you mop often. A mop pad rinsed in cold water reloads with dirt; with hot water, it comes back cleaner. Most of the current lineup has it (40-75 °C depending on the model).
